The Delta State government has commenced an arrangement to partner with Crimson Logic, a leading E-government solutions and technology services provider to ensure effective service delivery to citizens.
The agreement was reached when the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan led a delegation to visit the Crimson Logic office in Singapore.
Dr. Uduaghan said the early training and exposure of students to the internet technology will prepare them to face the global challenges of ICT and also to facilitate the adaptation of ICT technology by government.
The governor noted that globally Singapore is recognized as one of the leaders in the field of e-government that was why it became necessary to partner with one of the ICT leading organizations to ensure self sufficiency in implementing electronic service and create sustainability necessary to deploy e-government successfully.
He said government’s plan to re-engineer, build and operate sustainable services will only be successful if the people are carried along.
Special Adviser on ICT to the governor and head of the Directorate of Science and Technology, Mr. Sunny Ofili, who was on the government’s delegation to Singapore said that the partnership with Crimson Logic will add value to government-citizen relationship.
“This partnership will help us put in place the building blocks necessary for effective e-government solution. We plan to leverage on Crimson Logic expertise in the area of Single ID design, e-Judiciary and automation of government processes for effective service delivery to the public,” he said. “ICT is a major enabler in all human endeavors and the study visit to Singapore has reinvigorated the role of ICT,” he added.
The vice president Crimson Logic, Mr. Tan-Sian-Lip said it was only wise for a government to think ahead, think again, and think across in order to add value to the society. He stressed the need for innovative technology which was what brought Singapore to where it is now as one of the best e-government in the world.
Sian-Lip said the company will be sending a team of experts on an exploratory visit to Delta State to see areas where the company can immediately rollout its services in the state.
